Andy Paulik died on February 2, 2009, after a long battle with cancer, at the age of 62. Andy was a JOHN W. BROWN schoolship graduate in the 1960s, served in the U.S. Army in Viet Nam, was a Nassau County (New York) police officer for 33 years, and volunteered on the ship in the stewards department and deck department. He was instrumental in the formation of the SS JOHN W. BROWN Alumni Association.
